About Lincoln Park

One of the oldest neighborhoods in Fort Pierce and the historic heart of the city's African American community, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Once home to Zora Neale Hurston and many of the Florida Highwaymen artists, its Avenue D corridor was a thriving commercial district in the 1950s-60s and is now the focus of active revitalization.
